Local campaign / Oklahoma

Ada.
Take the Gospel Back.

Christians from different congregations are speaking together against Christian Universalism and calling people to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why we are speaking

False hope
has consequences.

Our concern is the promise that everyone will eventually be saved, including the devil and his angels. We reject that promise because of Scripture’s warnings about judgment and its call to repentance and faith.

We want people to hear the gospel clearly, and we want teachers who promote this message to repent.

Matthew 25:41, 46 · Acts 20:21 · Jude 1:3-4

The Ada campaign

Our public
statement.

Christians from different congregations stand united in affirming the biblical Gospel of Jesus Christ and rejecting Christian Universalism as false teaching.

We publicly call on Pastor Lucas Bessey of House of Joy Church in Ada, Oklahoma, to repent of his teaching that all people, including the devil and his angels, will ultimately be saved, or for his church leadership to remove him from teaching authority.

We stand together to defend the truth of Scripture, protect others from deception, and proclaim salvation through Jesus Christ alone.

John 14:6 · Acts 4:12 · Galatians 1:6-9

Why make a public statement?

Public teaching affects the people who hear it. Scripture calls church leaders to hold to sound teaching and correct error. It also requires care in receiving accusations against elders and patience in correction.

The purpose of this statement is repentance and the protection of people who may be misled. Personal attacks and speculation about motives do not serve that purpose.

1 Timothy 5:19-20 · Titus 1:9 · 2 Timothy 2:24-26
